Fordham Law School announced today that Ornela Rudovic has been appointed as director of alumni relations.

In her new role, Rudovic will be responsible for leading the Law School’s alumni relations team, where she will strengthen the school’s expansive global alumni network, provide effective strategies and management, and create a pipeline to help the next generation of alumni and legal professionals. She will be working closely with the Fordham Law Alumni Association board, Recent Graduate Committee, Dean’s Planning Committee, and the Law School’s various student groups, to re-envision events and programming as well as find new ways to connect and engage with one another.

Rudovic has been at Fordham Law for the past five years and brings invaluable institutional knowledge to this crucial role.

“In Ornela’s time at the law school she has served in the Dean’s Office, Alumni Affairs, and Development, so she has a well-rounded view of the Law School’s advancement operations and a good handle on the players and personalities both inside the school and within our robust alumni network,” said Vera Tkachuk, assistant dean at Fordham Law School. “I am very much looking forward to collaborating with her in this new role and I am confident she will help us push new and established programs forward for our alumni and students.”

“Ornela will provide superb support to the Fordham Law alumni community,” said Fordham Law School Dean Matthew Diller. “Her deft touch, incredible organizational skills, and excellent follow through will enable our alumni leaders to deepen their engagement and energize alums here and across the globe to build an even stronger community.”

Having previously served as a stewardship officer within Alumni Relations, Rudovic played a major role in organizing and facilitating major board meetings and working towards accomplishing the mission of the Fordham Law Alumni Association board. She was also instrumental in recruiting and training individuals for reunion committees, as well as fundraising for annual reunion celebrations. Rudovic holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and communications from Manhattanville College and a master’s degree in nonprofit leadership from Fordham University.

“Fordham Law has an amazing group of alumni who I have had the pleasure of working closely with during the past five years. I look forward to building new relationships and finding new ways to keep the alumni connected to both the Law School and to one another,” Rudovic said. “I’m also excited to serve as a bridge between the next generation of legal professionals and the people, places, ideas, and career opportunities that matter most to them, through our network of alumni across the country and around the world.”
