Students from the Voting Rights and Democracy Project and Professor Jerry Goldfeder’s Election Law class had the rare experience of meeting with President Joe Biden’s Deputy Counsel, Stacey Grigsby. She spent an hour with them describing the way the Counsel’s office is structured and, more specifically, her own responsibilities.

“She was very open and engaged with the students, and it was a terrific opportunity,” said Prof. Goldfeder. “After we left the White House offices, we went to Capitol Hill and spent an hour with Rep. Jamie Raskin. As always, he was wonderfully open and forthcoming about a whole range of issues.”
In previous years, Prof. Goldfeder has arranged for his students to meet with Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor, Majority Leader Senator Chuck Schumer, and others. He is looking forward to his next trip to Washington.
