1. Alumni Luncheon

Held on March 3, the 74th Annual Fordham Law Alumni Association Luncheon celebrated the achievements of Akilah Browne ’19, Michelle Chan ’15, Stephen Cugliari ’19, Megan Hogan ’06, and Professor Constantine N. Katsoris, GABELLI ’53, LAW ’57.

2. Welcome to New York

This year’s incoming class of 500+ students joined us from 35 states, 165 colleges and universities, and multiple countries around the globe.

3. Congratulations, Class of 2023!

On May 22, the Law School community gathered for the 116th Diploma Ceremony to celebrate the achievements of this year’s 630 graduates. Guests included distinguished speaker Hon. Jeh C. Johnson, former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security; U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer; and Fordham University President Tania Tetlow.

4. Been There, Run That

Fordham Law faculty, students, and alumni swapped their textbooks and briefcases for race bibs to run in the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon on Nov. 5.

5. Expanding the “Fordham Law Family”

To share in the law school experience, family members of first-year students watched a trial demonstration by the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Team, experienced a mock law class, and learned more about clinics, experiential legal programming, public interest programs, and private sector careers during the Law School’s annual Family Day event on Oct. 15.

6. And the Award Goes To…

During this year’s diploma ceremony, Fordham Law faculty members and administrators were presented with awards in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contributions to the Law School—including Professor Howard M. Erichson, who was named “Teacher of the Year” by the Student Bar Association.

7. A Supreme Presence

During Women’s History Month (March), Fordham Law virtually welcomed U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor—the third woman, first woman of color, and first Latina to be appointed to the Supreme Court—as this year’s Robert L. Levine Distinguished Lecture speaker.

The 2023 European Alumni Chapter Reunion took place in Paris, France, over the summer, celebrating Fordham Law’s worldwide community with opportunities for classmates and colleagues to reconnect.
