    A. Michael Rubin ’62 was awarded the William M. Cox Award for excellence in the field of land use law from the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys.

    John J. Ferguson ’65 was awarded an honorary degree from the Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida for his generous fundraising efforts on behalf of the school. Ferguson has served as a member on the school’s Board of Governors since 2020.

    David McCabe ’83 was honored at the New York UJA Federation’s 34th Annual Trusts & Estates Event.

    Thomas Janover ’86 joined the partnership at Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer LLP.

    After 18 years teaching at Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business, Dr. Stanley Veliotis ’89 has joined the accounting department as chair and associate professor at Quinnipiac University’s School of Business.

    Denise Rubin ’90 achieved a victory in trial for a retaliation case brought before the Supreme Court of the State of New York in 2015 after ten years of litigation. The jury found in favor of plaintiff not only on her retaliation claim, but also her quantum meruit claim and awarded her punitive damages in the amount of $5.8 million.

    Darlene Goldberg ’93 was appointed to the New York State Court of Claims by Governor Kathy Hochul.

    Daniel Winters ’94 joined Polsinelli LLP as a shareholder.

    Charles Achkar ’99 recently joined the advisory board of the Kennedy College of Sciences at UMass Lowell.

    Allison Roarty Prince ’00 was recognized as a top entertainment attorney in Hollywood by Variety in the magazine’s 2025 Legal Impact Report. You can find the full list here.

    Natacha Carbajal-Evangelista ’04 was appointed to the New York State Court of Claims by Governor Kathy Hochul.

    Michael Hamersky ’07 has been appointed to serve as the executive director of the Pace Energy and Climate Center at The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University.

    Kimberly Pallen ’07, partner at Withersworldwide, led her team to secure a complete victory on behalf of a limited partnership and its limited partners following the years-long fraud by the partnership’s general partner. You can read the full press release here.

    John J. Ramirez ’08 joined Eversheds Sutherland as counsel.

    Alex J. Ru ’08 joined Goldberg Segalla in the firm’s global insurance services practice group in Manhattan.

    Michael J. Rosenberg ’09 joined the partnership at Honigman LLP.

    Hon. Laura Rowntree ’09 was appointed to the Vermont Superior Court this past November.

    Samuel Francis ’10 joined the partnership at Vinson & Elkins LLP.

    Robert Vacchiano ’11 joined the partnership at Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland & Perretti LLP.

    Mary Kate Brennan JD ’12, LL.M. ’17 was appointed co-chair of the New York City Bar Association’s (NYCBA) Council on Intellectual Property for the 2025–2026 year. She also developed and teaches a seminar on Fashion Law as an adjunct professor at Georgetown Law.

    Nneka Witters ’15 rejoined Reed Smith LLP as counsel in its Entertainment & Media Industry Group.

    Clara Bergnier ’20 joined Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi as an associate in the firm’s Immigration Group.
