Posting Announcements in Blackboard

Announcements are an alternative to emailing students instructions, notices, and updates.

To create an announcement, go to the Control Panel > Course Tools> Announcements. Click on Create Announcement to start.

Type in the Subject then the Message in the Announcement Information section.

In Web Announcement Options, choose either Not Date Restricted or Date Restricted. To control when the announcement starts and stops, select Date Restricted and specify the Dates.

Choose whether students should receive an email version of the Announcement or not.

To link the announcement to a specific content, configure the Course Link option. Otherwise, select Submit to create the announcement.
