Where the Justices Found Middle Ground in Gay Wedding Cake Case

Abner Greene was quoted in a National Law Journal article about the Supreme Court ruling in a case involving a baker who refused to make a cake for a same-sex couple.

The case of Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commissiondecided 7-2 on Monday, “clearly tore at the soul of Justice [Anthony] Kennedy, requiring him to choose between protecting the rights of gay men and lesbians and First Amendment rights,” said Abner Greene of Fordham Law School.
