Professor Andrew Kent spoke to Bloomberg’s June Grasso about a decision by the Fourth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to reconsider a Maryland and D.C. lawsuit accusing President Trump of enriching himself in violation of the U.S. Constitution’s emoluments clauses, in a rare en banc hearing before 15 judges.
“I think [the case being reheard] is significant. It usually signals that there are a decent number of judges that are dissatisfied with what the three judge panel did, so it could be bad news for President Trump possibly.”
