British Woman Files Lawsuit Over Dress Code

Susan Scafidi, director of the Fashion Law Institute, was quoted in a CBS news article about a UK woman’s petition to have work dress code debated in parliament.

 

A petition was filed to have the issue debated in parliament. A professor at Fordham Law was asked if such mandates are legal in the U.S.

In general, yes, but in New York you can only tell a woman to wear heels if you also tell men to wear heels to work,” said Fordham Law professor Susan Scafidi.
